HELLO! My name is Pamela Dennison and I have 7,000
square foot dog training facility in Belvidere,
New Jersey. I
OFFER:
Regular group classes for
puppy k, beginners, advanced beginners, CGC (Canine
Good Citizen), TDI (Therapy Dog), and most forms
of competition (obedience, Rally, Agility),
Specialty
classes of all kinds. (On the Road, Breakfast
Club, and many more!).
NEW!!!! Video/Web Cam training!!!! Because
dog training is such a visual thing, I am now offering
video/Web cam training for those of you that are
too far away to come to regular classes. This can
be used for anything from basic training to competition
to aggression or other problem issues.
Seminars on
dog aggression, Rally and competition obedience,
positive (clicker) dog training and how to properly "read" your
dog; both at my training facility - and at other
facilities and dog clubs within an 8-hour driving
distance.
Horse training in individual or group settings at your
location.
My first love is of course: dogs, competition and
Rally obedience, positive dog training, horses,
and positive horse training. My passion is being
creative about breaking down and shaping dog and
horse behaviors in a positive, proactive approach.
The mission of Positive Motivation
Dog Training’s
Obedience Programs is to effectively teach dog
owners how to build a positive relationship, erecting
a line of communication with their dogs and train
in a positive and non-punishing way to promote success
in whatever their goals may be. A
gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word
stirs up anger. (Proverbs
15:1)
By popular request, I have also started a three
level PMDT
Trainer Academy. Each level is a week long
intensive school for those of you that want
to learn the ins and outs of becoming a certified
dog trainer. You can earn maximum credits from
CPDT and IAABC and become a Certified PMDTT!
This is what we are calling "The
Black and White Club." It is a group
of Pam and students (all but Lily are black and
white), walking their dogs in a few different places
(off leash). Right now, the cast of
characters: Pam and
Beau, Emma and Shadow (all Border
collies), Karen
with Jett and Randy (Border collies) and
Pearl (Collie), Jocelyn and
Jack (Shetland sheepdog), Robin
and Gigi (West Highland
White Terrier), Susie and Lily (Golden Retriever).
Susie just adopted a Border collie mix from Glenhighland
Farm and Cappy will be joining us soon.
This is why we at PMDT want you to work on your whistle
training <hint, hint>, because when you have
off leash control, you have it all! Of course, whistle
training is not all of it – building a positive
relationship and heavily rewarding what you want and
ignoring what you don’t want is also a huge part
of our classes and the Black and White club.
We
are always looking for new members of the club
and hope you will take training your dog seriously,
but happily so maybe you too can join someday!Requirements: off leash control (or your dog can start out dragging
a long line), a million treats and toys and a
dog that gets along with other dogs and people (the dogs don’t have to be black or white or a mixture to join in)!
The Black and White Club - Thanksgiving Walk
Thanksgiving morning’s cast of 13 dogs was Emma,
Beau, Shadow, Jack, Jett, Randy, Pearl, Fritz, Gigi,
Mr. T., Nicky, Cappy and the honorary black and white
dog, Lily. We walked today at Karen’s 40 acre
property. I was very impressed because we had 4 newcomers
this morning – Fritz (whom I am watching for
a few days), Mr. T. (3 legged Bichon Frise), Nicky
(4 legged Bichon Frise) and Cappy (Lily’s new "brother").
As Robin (with Gigi) always says, "It doesn’t
get any better than this." She’s right.
) A special thanks to Robin for video-taping these
walks. I could do the taping – it is the putting
it on Youtube that eludes me)
